PEMF Therapy: What is it?

PEMF or Pulsed Electromagnetic Fields use electricity to support the body in a natural recovery process as it essentially treats our cells like batteries and “charges them up”. A common misconception is that these electromagnetic waves (EMFs) are dangerous, but they are not the same as EMFs from things like microwaves or x-ray machines, as they differ in how quickly the wavelength of electricity moves (the frequency) and how long the waves are exposed to the body (duration), making them healing instead of harmful. Just like wavelengths of electricity in nature, PEMF works at a low and slow rate, in short bursts. ¹

Benefits of PEMF Therapy: ¹⁻³

  • Reduces pain and inflammation

  • Supports immune function

  • Improves depression and anxiety

  • Shortens injury recovery time

  • Lowers stress

  • Improves fatigue

  • Optimizes circulation of blood

  • Improves bone health and muscle composition

  • Improves chronic pain disorders such as Fibromyalgia

  • Supports joint disorders such as Osteoarthritis

  • Supports organ regeneration

How PEMF Therapy Works: ¹⁻³

PEMF is specifically designed to play to our body’s biology and supercharge the cells. Every single organ, bone, and area of tissue is made up of cells that have different electric forces to them, positive and negative, that allow the cells to function, stay healthy and communicate with each other. In general, our bodies use electricity to send signals to every part of the body and brain to keep everything in synch and healthy. Processes like feeling pain, bones receiving calcium, aging, water hydrating the cells, detoxification, feel-good hormones, inflammation, fatigue, skin healing, etc. all involves cells communicating to each other through electricity. If this natural process is disrupted by aging, injury to the cell, or inflammation, the cells will lose their charge, resulting in symptoms and disease. Basically, if the cells have low charge you will experience various unpleasant physical symptoms and if the cells have high charge you will feel vital, energized and healthy. PEMF therapy ultimately supports optimal cell charge and restoring any disruptions in electrical signs to return your body to a balanced state.

Summary:

Signs of cells with high charge (Optimal Health):

  • balanced energy, heightened mood, focus, healthy skin, optimal detoxification, rapid repair of bones, tissues, organs

Signs of cells with low charge (Symptoms and Disease):

  • chronic inflammation in joints and tissues, fatigue, bone issues, skin problems, pain, rapid signs of aging and regression of health
